Abia Angels clinched a narrow 1-0 victory over Ekiti Queens in their NWFL Premiership Week 6 fixture at the Umuahia Township Stadium. The crucial goal came in the 21st minute when young forward Chiamaka Ojialor calmly converted a swift counterattack. Lucky Mary displayed an impressive pace to outmanoeuvre her markers before setting up Ojialor for the decisive finish.
Ekiti Queens responded strongly in the second half, creating several scoring opportunities. However, Abia Angels’ goalkeeper, Osinachi Abani, produced a series of crucial saves to keep her team ahead and secure the three points.
